Accident at Toronto on 2 August 2005

Following the accident on 2 August 2005, during landing at Toronto (Canada) to the Air France Airbus A340 registered F-GLZQ, the BEA sent an 8-strong go-team to Toronto and Ottawa, accompanied by advisors from Air France and Airbus. Note that, in accordance with the provisions of Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation, known as the Chicago Convention, the technical investigation into this accident has been carried out by Canada, through its Transportation Safety Board (TSB) with the participation of France, through the BEA. In accordance with international regulations, communication of technical information relating to the accident and to the progress of the investigation is the sole responsibility of the TSB. |
